Water
Temperature: The
water temperature remains just about the same this week. We
have not seen much change over the past couple of weeks.
The water temp.'s we have at the moment are what most in the
area consider perfect.
Weather
Temperature: The
Temperature has stayed on the warm side this week with temps.
reaching the mid 90's. We did see our first rain of the
season early last week. It was quite nice with most of the
locals out enjoying the first rain of the season. Since this
event we have not seen any more moisture up to this point. We
are back to the hot and humid weather we are accustomed to this time
of year.
Fishing Spots and Distance: The
spots and distance the boats are traveling are for the most part continue
to be off the Punta Pescadero area as well as off the Punta
Arena area. In both areas the boats have been fishing between
the fifteen and twenty five mile mark.
Off-shore fishing.-
This
week the off shore was strong for Tuna. The schools have been
scattered helping make the fishing for Tuna continue to stay relatively
steady . With these schools spread out we do not see as many
boats on one school. This helps in keeping the fish near the
surface and on the bite. We continue to see a few Dorado to
the north in the area of the shark receivers. The Sailfish are
reported off the light house at about the thirty five mile
mark. The Marlin both Stripe and Blue are scattered thru out
this region.
In-shore
fishing.-
The inshore fishing has slowed slightly with the water in the
areas containing arroyo's still slightly off color after the
rains. The areas that are clear are fishing fair for
most inshore species.
Successful
lures:
For the most part this week the lures have
varied daily. The report is that the Tuna have been
caught on blue and white hoochies that represent the flying
fish in the area. Cedar plugs along with live bait have
also produced well.
Bait
Used: The bait this week has been for the most
part Sardina. Mullett has also been available.
Highlight of
the Week: Please
remember that up coming in August we have lots of events you can
be part of. These include the 3rd Annual Bisbee's East Cape
Tournament Also please rember we have our special of pay
three night's and get the fourth free or pay five night's and get
the sixth and seventh free!! Call us for details. We would
also like to mention that the new
flight from Ontario, CA has begun to see more Click
here!!!!
See you next week!
