Water
Temperature: Water
temperature has risen slightly from last week. If this temperature stabilizes
we should see increased action over the next week.
Weather
Temperature: We
continue to see the winds from the north throughout most of
the past week. We have seen the winds decrease over
the past two days. We look for the winds to subside
for most of this week.
Fishing Spots and Distance:
The fishing spots and distance have been in the Punta Pescadero region.
Most of the captain's report they are fishing between
twelve and fifteen miles off shore directly in front
Punta Pescadero and continuing north to the Cardinal
region.
Off-shore fishing.-
Off
shore fishing has consisted mostly of the captains fishing
in and around the school of spotted dolphin that have been
off the Pescadero area. The captains report tuna along
with bonita are mixed in with the dolphin. They report the
tuna are feeding on small squid and sardina.
In-shore
fishing.-
The inshore fishing this week was very difficult due to the
windy conditions.
Successful
lures:
For artificial lures blue and white has been the color for the dorado
that have been caught this week. The sailfish were caught on the
colors of green and black.
Bait
Used: Bait conditions this week have been
moderate with some larger baits being available. The smaller
sardina have been available to the north in the Cardinal area. A
few of the captains have learned that their may be small bait as well in
the Cabo Pulmo area.
