Water Temperature:
Nice summer water, this is what we are famous for, and we are living up to it
fame.
Air
Temperature: We are about to start the peak summer months and you can
feel it. But our breeze is very nice and it keeps the summer days fresh.
Fishing Spots and Distance: Arturo
reported that most of our fleet headed North this past week, some
boats venture there last week, but this week most of them went
that way. Distance was about 25-35 miles.
Off-shore Fishing:
Blue marlin
continue to surprise any one fishing in our beautiful bay. Good number on
stripers, which is a little late for them, and of course sailfish. There were
more dorado this past week, but again small to medium size. Tuna was also found,
but also most of them football size. There being wahoo all over our bay, but
most of the time when you find out about them is because you are with the empty
line in your hand.
In-shore Fishing:
In-shore fishing has been great, but not many guest going for it. Still Arturo
reported great rooster fishing from El Surgidero all the way to Punta Arena.
Nice pargo right in front of La Rivera.
Successful Lures:
Petrolero (brown with orange and little
gray), Chivato (Yellow, orange, with black stripes), Purpura (black with
purple). I may be missing some as they tried everything this past week.
Bait Used: Mackerel,
caballito, and sardine. Good quality bait.
Highlight of the Week:
Dorado is back, tuna too and we continue to have good number
of billfish.
