Water
Temperature: Water
temperature is a normal for this time, for those thinking
of an early El Niņo, you may be disappointed, but we'll
see.
Weather
Temperature:
Some days going up to mid 80's, clouds helped keep some of
the wind off during the week, and we even had some rain.
Overall it was very nice to go out fishing.
Fishing Spots and Distance: Since
there is not that many boats out there, and the condition of our
are somewhat stable plus great bait around our bait, fishing has
been very close, as close as one mile, specially late in the week.
Off-shore fishing.-
Early in the week,
our fleet was looking for the dead whale found late last week,
because it continued to offer a lot of dorados. Later in the week
the whale disappeared but not the good fishing, even though the
dorado was found everywhere in our bay. Arturo mentioned that the
marlin are very close, no more than a mile out and everyone starts
fishing.
In-shore fishing.-
With some roosters this past week, it means
that Spring is around corner, other that the sierra
continues to be around.
Successful
lures:
Petrolero, and
mackerel color lures are working well.
Bait
Used: Not
much sardine, but plenty of mackerel.
Highlight of
the Week: First
we will continue with the Whale, which we are not happy it
appear dead, but it was great fishing because of it. Also
fishing for marlin late in the week, as Arturo putted it,
they are so close "that they are coming to shore", figure
speaking, of course.
