Water
Temperature: Even
with the strange weather, ocean conditions didn't vary
much, the water cooled down a little, but not enough to
affect anything.
Air Temperature:
Like the old man once told me, this week temperature was
very consistent... always odd. We had hurricane Lowell
early last week, which cool the day off a little with
all of the rain, then in the middle of the week we had
some wear North wind, but we had some South as well. So
as you can see the weather was very consistent.
Fishing Spots and Distance: Fishing
this week was as good as you can as for, except for the
first 2 days of this week, because of Lowell, but after
that the fishing got so hot that it only re-enforces
what I always say, for us local September is the best
fishing month. Distances vary from 15 to 25 miles.
Off-shore Fishing: Most of the tuna was
being done in front of La Rivera early this week, but
later the whole fleet was fishing the limits of the
Marine Park, tuna was in the small to mid size, some up
to 45 lbs. Dorado was found there as well, but mainly
once the tuna bite was off, we started trolling for
dorado, small to medium size. Blue and sails were mostly
found from Cabo Pulmo to in front of the resort, about
10 miles off shore.
In-shore
Fishing: Small roosters mainly, but it is very
hard for the bait to make to the roosters, due to so
many needelfish.
Bait Used: Caballito and mackerel were available,
but sardine was the best for dorado and tuna
Highlight of the
Week: Sr. Togo fishing on Tuesday with Captain
Vicente: 2 blue marlins release plus a sailfish. He took
the bragging to a whole new level.
See you next week!!!
